New Elzetta Shield Lights

Elzetta Design, LLC has expanded their product lineup to include two new lighting systems for ballistic shields.  Initially available on Blueridge Armor Vengence™ ballistic shields, the Elzetta Shield Lights are currently in low-rate initial production.  (All photos provided by Elzetta)

Both versions of the Shield Light utilize a pair of high-powered LEDs to generate 1,000 lumens of neutral-tinted white light.  Solid acrylic lenses shape that output into a “wall of light” to uniformly illuminate the area in front of the shield.

Redundant circuitry allows continued operation even if one of the lights is damaged.  All electronics are potted, as with all Elzetta products, to prevent damage from shock or impact.

The basic Elzetta Shield Light provides a horizontal handle inside the shield with an integrated tape switch for activating the light.  The unique TriDextrous™ version adds vertical handles and provides three different grip options with switching available at each location.

From the photos it appears the vertical grips will use thumb activated switches similar to those used on their handheld flashlights.  An optional strobe feature will be available.

The Elzetta Shield Lights are OEM devices intended for installation by the shield manufacturer.  The units are self-contained and will not require any soldering or wire-routing for installation.
